The BCARES UHF Repeater

Benton County ARES operates a UHF repeater located on top of Good Samaritan Hospital, on a frequency of 442.300 MHz, with a PL tone of 162.2 Hz. The input is +5 MHz offset, at 447.300 MHz.

The repeater operates under the call N8GFO with an ERP of 580 watts at an elevation of 400 feet MSL. It has a good view to the south and east, convering most of eastern Benton county and a large part of western Linn. It is a GE Mastr II with an 11.7dB gain vertical, and is connected into the hospital's emergency power system.
